This week the Faculty of the Humanities Division unanimously elected Mark Graybill, Associate Professor of English, to serve as Associate Dean for Humanities beginning this summer. Professor Graybill takes over from Professor Mara Parker, who has served two three-year terms, which is the maximum allowed by the Humanities Division bylaws. Professor Graybill is a distinguished literary critic–particularly in the field of Flannery O’Connor studies–and served for many years as Associate Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs. He is also the guitarist for the Philadelphia-based rock group Milton and the Devils Party.
