Kenneth Pobo, Professor of English and creative writing, has published a new 24-page chapbook of his poems called Save My Place. Professor Pobo’s chapbook was one of the winning manuscripts from the press’s annual chapbook contest. Setting unites these poems mostly about places in America, including Macon, Las Vegas, Penn Station, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Odessa. Professor Pobo has long been interested in setting, especially in some of his earlier poems based on growing up in Illinois as well as poems centered on his garden in Middletown.
Stacy Esch, Professor Esch’s wife, designed the cover.
The publisher, Finishing Line Press, is located in Georgetown, Kentucky.
